At the May 19, 2022 RLUAC meeting, the membership accepted the nomination and voted to elect a slate of candidates to serve as the RLUAC Board of Directors for the term beginning July 1, 2022. The new Chiarman of RLUAC will be Jeff Sanborn, who serves as the Village Manager of Pinehurst. Mark Locklear, Development Services Director of Harnett County, will continue in his role as Vice Chairman, and Smapson County RLUAC delegate Roland Hall will serve as the Secretary of RLUAC. RLUAC's previous Chairman John K. McNeill, Mayor of Raeford, and previous RLUAC Secreatary, Mike Lynch, will transition into new roles as Directors-at-Large. They will be joined on the Board by Commissioner Harry Southerland of Hoke County, Fayetteville Development Services Director Dr. Jerry Newton, and Glen Prillaman.
