John K. McNeill is the Mayor of the City of Raeford, an office he has held since December 2004.  He is a native of Raeford, graduating from Hoke High School in 1967.  He attended Elon University, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education.  He also received a Masters Degree from East Carolina University that certified him to be a councellor and principal.  He served in the classroom and as a guidance councellor for 33+ years.  McNeill currently serves on the Board of Lumber River Council of Governments and is an Elder at Raeford Presbyterian Church.  He also served on the committee that successfully brought the hospital to Hoke County.
